One Busy Weekend

We had a World Cup 2006 Final BBQ Sunday morning/afternoon
at church to raise funds for the Paraguay Mission Trip. Originally we were only planning for about
50 people based upon the Mission’s Pastors guess. By the time it was done, we
had over 150 people come through getting a burger or hotdog – with about 200
plus hanging around watching the World Cup Game on the two TV’s. It was huge success!!!

That same weekend, Emily helped out with the Sweet Community
Yard Sale to raise funds for the Sweet Vineyard Vacation Bible School. They raised quite a bit of money through
their bake sale on Saturday – allow us to office VBS free of charge to the
entire community of Sweet!
Talk about a
God thing! =)

While Emily was at the Yard Sale, I was in Boise training 13
people how to use a Trimble GPS unit. These 13 people will be joining other
folks on four different hikes this summer (two in July and two in August).
While they are having fun outside, they will also be GPS mapping the trail for
the United States Forest Service.

Yelp – a busy weekend… but a very successful one! **A-big-smile-on-Josh’s-face** =D
